Newtownstewart is the small town on the A5 before Strabane, close enough to Omagh that a hallway and a bedroom is still worth quoting. Stone and rendered houses in the town, and properties out towards Baronscourt and the hills, take weather coming down the valley. Exterior wood and masonry need the dry spell described in the exterior-paint article. A coat on a wet gable will not see the year out.

Because the town is small, jobs are often the whole house rather than a single feature wall: stairs, landings, and rooms that have been lived in hard. Paper on the hall, paint on the rest, and woodwork included, is a sensible way to split it if you do not want everything papered. Low older ceilings and turns on the stairs are normal here. They take longer than a square estate bedroom, and the quote should reflect that rather than a rate copied from a flat room.

Gortin is over the hill to the east, Strabane is up the road, and Omagh is back down the A5. All three are covered. If you are in a townland between them, name it. The page list is not a boundary.
