Painter and decorator in Gortin

Gortin is just north of Omagh, at the mouth of the glen. Close enough for smaller jobs, exposed enough that outside paint has to wait for the weather.

Gortin is about a quarter of an hour from Omagh, under Gortin Glen. The houses are village streets, stone cottages, and holiday homes that need to look right for the season. Being this close to base, a cloakroom, a bedroom or a stairs is still worth a quote. Martin is not only interested in week-long jobs.

Cottages here are awkward in a way estate houses are not. Ceilings are lower, stairs are tight, and wallpaper has to turn corners that were never built square. Seams and pattern matches show. That is a reason to have it hung carefully, not a reason to avoid paper. A simple painted finish is the other option if the walls are too far out for a stripe or a large repeat.

Outside, the glen is wet and windy. Fascias, windows and rendered walls should be painted in a settled spell, with green growth washed off first. Holiday cottages often want the work done between lets. Give him the dates the house is empty. A deadline he hears at the start is easier to meet than one mentioned on the last day.
